The New York Times reports that the art-and-culture tours of Cuba that used to be available to U. S. citizens before the Bush administration severely curtailed travel to Cuba in 2004 are resuming following President Obama’s announcement that restrictions on travel to Cuba would be eased. In its article, the Times features a week-long art-themed package trip to Havana leaving on January 17, 2010 sponsored by the Katonah Museum of Art, in Katonah, N.Y.  Reservations are being accepted through Oct. 19. (The museum expects a maximum of 60 people.) Highlights of the trip include a walking tour of Old Havana, visits to the studios of local artists, and a side trip to the village of Cojimar, the location of Ernest Hemingway’s one-time estate, Finca Vigía.
