Nicaragua issues Juan Bosch post stamp


The Nicaraguan government, headed by Daniel Ortega, has decreed the issuing of a postal stamp to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dominican leftist leader and former president Juan Bosch be issued. Dominican ambassador to Nicaragua Pedro Blandino received a framed facsimile of the stamp today in a ceremony presided by the Director of the Nicaraguan Postal Service, Ana Esperanza Lazo Alvarez. Ambassador Blandino called the stamp issue a moving and significant event, especially as it was a project initiated by the legislature and has the approval of the National Assembly.

No images of the new stamp are available yet and the official day in which the stamp will be issued has not been announced yet.
