Amnesty International has just published its 2009 international human rights reports, which once again includes warnings against human rights violations in various countries throughout the Caribbean region, chief among the Cuba (restrictions on freedoms), Jamaica (police killings), and Haiti (political violence). The reports cover areas such as poverty and deprivation, violence against women, the death penalty, and public security.
For the country by country reports go to http://thereport.amnesty.org/en/regions/americas (This page is the portal to the Americas. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will find a list of Latin American and Caribbean countries. You can then click on the country’s name to link you to the specific report on that island/country)
