Four post-graduate students from Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean are going to the United Kingdom with Chevening Scholarships.
Four post-graduate students will shortly be heading off to the UK, funded by the British Chevening Scholarship scheme. Aimed at the leaders of tomorrow, Chevening Scholarships enable those in their early career to study at their chosen subject at Masters level at a UK university of their choice.
2012 has seen a bumper crop of applications from Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean of a high standard. Successful candidates were Jovan Reid from Barbados, who be studying Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; Devon Fadlin from St Lucia studying Law and Economics at University College London; Kenrod Roberts from St Kitts and Nevis studying Power Systems Engineering, also at University College London, and Karina Johnson studying International Economic Law at the University of Edinburgh.
