Alison Hinds Performs at Barbados’s Crop Over, Speaks about the “Bruk It Down Soca” Remix

Bajan soca performer Alison Hinds has been extremely busy this year. First she released a new hit with Vegas “Bruk It Down Soca” (just in time for the Barbados Crop Over) and performed it with the fellow singer at Reggae on the Beach in Barbados, following this by performances at the UCLA Jazz Reggae Festival in Los Angeles in May, along with Shaggy and Tarrus Riley. She has had other popular song out this year, such as “Baddy,” “Soca till We Die,” and “Sweetness in Me” (with New Hypasounds). Her presence in the Crop Over is not over, as events run through August 6, 2012.

Considered the “Caribbean Queen” and “Queen of Soca,” Alison Hinds was also chosen as the new face and spokesperson for Hennessy Barbados new line of Cocktails.

See video of Alison Hinds speaking to CropOverTV about the Bruk It Down Soca remix, why it is important for soca artists to collaborate with artists from other genres and her Jamaican fan base:
