Description: A wedding is being organized in the beautiful green countryside of Bitaille in the region of Diamant. The sky is blue, flowers are in bloom and everything exudes happiness. Renélise, an orphan raised by her grandmother since she was two years old will marry a brave young man, a stellar worker, and the family’s neighbor. Renélise is happy because, as an able lad and carpenter, her fiancé Leonce, is paying much attention to tidying up the house that will become the young couple’s abode. Festivities are eight days away. Leonce must fulfill his electoral duty and vote. Therefore, he takes the trip to the village of Diamant to accomplish his inevitable duty as a citizen on the Sunday before the wedding. This is where the story begins.
