Rutgers University is hosting a roundtable discussion—“Beyond Creolization and Créolité: New Directions in Critical Caribbean Studies” on November 14, 2011, from 3:30 to 5:00pm at the Pane Room, Alexander Library. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is located at 169 College Avenue, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
The participants in the discussion include Anny Dominique Curtius (French & Italian, University of Iowa) and Aisha Khan (Anthropology, New York University). The moderators are Yarimar Bonilla (LHCS and Anthropology) and Yolanda Martínez-San Miguel (LHCS and Comparative Literature).
The event is sponsored by The Office of the Executive Dean of the School Arts and Sciences, the Program in Comparative Literature, the Department of Africana Studies, the Department of English, the Center for Latino Arts and Cultures, the Department of Anthropology and the Department of Latino and Hispanic Caribbean Studies.
