Monica Puig is in the third round of the Junior Girls Singles Tournament in the French Open. On the clay of Roland Garros, the Puerto Rican represented by Lagardere Unlimited defeated the French Marine Partaud (6-4, 6-0).
Yesterday, she defeated the Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova (6-2, 6-2) in only 60 minutes. Interviewed by phone by Primerahora, Puig highlighted the importance of starting the tournament in good rhythm. She said, “It is very important because the first match is never easy. I believe I carried out the plan very well. It gave me lot of confidence.”
