Colleagues, friends, and family members are mourning the death of the first Governor General of St. Kitts and Nevis, Sir Clement Arrindell GCMG, GCVO, QC., who passed away on Saturday, March 26. He was 79 years old. He had been hospitalized since Monday for an undisclosed ailment.
.Sir Clement served as governor general from 1983 to 1996. Before that, he was a barrister at law and a puisne judge of the West Indies Associated States Supreme Court .
He received knighthood in 1983 and retired in 1996.
