José Borges (1972) is a Puerto Rican author born in Queens, New York, and raised in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Although always an avid reader with an interest in writing, he didn’t find his calling until he was 30, when he entered a Short Story workshop offered by author Luis López Nieves. José Borges was part of the first class of the Creative Writing Master’s program in the University of the Sacred Heart, from which he graduated in 2007. Currently, Borges works as a writer, professor, and freelance collaborator in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
