CAW Magazine reminds us of the forthcoming opening of “5,” a collective exhibition at Horizons Art Gallery. The exhibition, which will be on view from March 16 until March 27, 2010, features “5 artists and 5 styles in 1 show.” The opening will take place on March 16 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The Horizons Art Gallery is located at 37 Mucurapo Road in St. James, Trinidad.
Participating artists are Karen Hale-Jackson (Trinidad), who presents finely detailed acrylic seascapes; Rachael Superville (Belize/Tobago), who enjoys painting nostalgic watercolors of “a simpler, quieter life” and founder/owner of Rachael’s Art Gallery in Belize;” Yamidé (Jamaica/Tobago), an artisan specializing in usable art: unique, hand-made furniture; Peter Soo Ping Chow (Trinidad), whose landscapes in oils capture the beauty of Trinidad and Tobago; and Michael Phillips (Trinidad), who specializes in depictions of birds and other wildlife in their natural environment.
