A photograph of JFK in the Caribbean lounging among very naked ladies that made news this week has been exposed as a hoax. The black and white photo was first posted by celebrity website TMZ.com. The Smoking Gum site, however, showed a color version of the same photo, as it had appeared in a 1967 Playboy article about a “raunchy” holiday in the Caribbean. There was no mention in 1967 of the President, who had died in 1963. Larry Dale Gordon, the Playboy photographer who took the photo, said that the man identified as Kennedy was a model, as were the naked women.
Pity, it would have provided another Caribbean reference for JFK, other than the tiresome story of the Bay of Pigs or the Cuban Missile Crisis.
