Ocean Sur, in association with the Che Guevara Studies Center, has published a paperback edition of Pasajes de la guerra revolucionaria (Congo) [Passages of Revolutionary War (Congo)].
In 1965, Che Guevara left Cuba to lead a secret Cuban mission to aid the African liberation movements. Unpublished for decades, this diary reflects Che’s characteristic insight, humor, and candor. [ . . .] Most of all, the diaries afford the reader a very personal insight into the thoughts and emotions of Che Guevara, the twentieth century’s great revolutionary martyr.
This 2009 edition contains the complete original version corrected by Che Guevara and revised by Fidel Castro. It also contains a glossary of words in Swahili, and maps of the operations’ zone, among other auxiliary documents. It includes a prologue by his daughter, Aleida Guevara March, which previously published in the 1998 edition.
