
The 41st Annual Caribbean Monetary Studies Conference will take place on November 10-13, 2009, in Georgetown, Guyana. With the theme, “Building Financial Sector Resilience in the Caribbean,” the conference is hosted by the Caribbean Centre for Money & Finance (housed at the University of the West Indies-St. Augustine Campus in Trinidad and Tobago) and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
Topics of discussion will include financial integration, volatility, sector stability, risk management, development and related issues; countercyclical fiscal policy; debt and fiscal sustainability, the cost of financial rescue packages; the future of commercial banking; foreign exchange markets; and economic uncertainty and economic planning.
