Manga Criolla Caguas 2009 is an exhibition that gathers local artists working in the areas of illustration and comic books. Manga is a Japanese comic-book style and manga criolla (or Creole manga) is the name given in Puerto Rico to locally-drawn manga with culturally-specific themes. The exhibition will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2009, from 9:00am until 5:00pm at the Center for Fine Arts in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
Attendance is free of charge. Spaces will be available for sales and exhibits. Exhibitors will be able to reserve free space (6’x3’ each) where they will show their work or draw for an audience. No sales are allowed in these booths. Sellers will be able to reserve other 6’x3’ spaces for $40. There will also be a contest for drawing Creole Manga.
