“Alguien lo tiene que decir” [Someone Has to Say It] is a photographic xxhibition organized by artist Adrianna Fernández Lugo and the artistic photography association Sociedad por la Fotografía Artística de Puerto Rico (SFAPR). It will take place tomorrow, August 28, 2009, at “El Local” in Santurce (1425 Fernández Juncos Avenue, Santurce, Puerto Rico).
“Alguien lo tiene que decir” combines photography and text to create pieces that speak for themselves and move spectators by conveying the artists’ messages, be it through humor or profound emotions, but always via their individual gaze. Participating artists include Adriana Gutiérrez, Asaria Marie Jiménez Torres, Carmen Olmo Terrasa, Chris Ribot, Cristina Guzmán, Joshua Cabezas, Leonardo March, Mónica Félix, Nicolle Lozada, Omar Banuchi, Oswar Nieves, Raul Di Cristina Centeno, Roberto Ramos Meléndez, Sylvia Colón, Vanessa Montenegro, and Zuania Muñiz Meléndez.
