Milan Kundera’s new book of essays, Une Rencontre, where he discusses the work of a number of Caribbean writers whom he counts as among his favorites, is now available in Spanish from Tusquets, with the title of Un encuentro. The title of the book refers to the famous meeting (rencontre) of André Breton and Aimé Césaire in Martinique during the second world war and its consequences, as well as his own meetings later with Haitian poets and novelists Jacques Stephen Alexis and René Depestre.
The book is available from Tusquets at http://www.tusquets-editores.es/lib_ficha.cfm?Id=2351
