
Guadeloupean singer Tanya Saint-Val appears tomorrow night, May 14, in her first real concert in French Guiana. She is slated to sing her specialty, zouk and romantic ballads. The concert has been described as a real Antillean-Guyanese melting pot, featuring the bass player Frédéric Caracas, the writer-composer-musician-producer from Guadeloupe and Martinican pianist Lenny Ragot. From French Guiana, performers include Eric Valérius on the drums, percussionist Gaétan Jean-Elie, and Symon on the guitar. The concert will take place at 8:00pm at Zéphyr in Cayenne, French Guiana.
A prolific singer, Saint Val has produced around 19 albums, including Soleil (2008), Good vibes (2006), Ansam’ (2003), Live au Zénith (2001), Best of 2000 (2000), Les plus belles années (1996), Secret (1998), Amethyste (1996), Mi (1994), Pou Zot (1993), Soul Zouk (1991), Tropical (1991), Zouk a-Go-Go (1989), and Tanya Saint-Val (1988).
