A Gallup poll issued today indicated quite clearly that U.S. residents continue to support the renewing of diplomatic ties with Cuba. 60% of those polled favor diplomatic relationships, continuing a trend that began in 1999. The poll also shows 51% supporting the ending of the embargo and 64% favoring the end of restrictions on travel to Cuba for all Americans. President Obama recently announced the easing of travel restrictions for U.S. residents with relatives in Cuba.
